Natural Disaster Relief Resources & Information

Berkshire Agricultural Ventures stands with our farming community.

For our farmers, if your farm has experienced freeze or flooding damage, we urge you to document and report it, if you haven't done so already. Reporting is the first step to help assess the damage and direct relief efforts.

For farmers in Berkshire County, we urge you to apply for Massachusetts’ Natural Disaster Recovery (NDR) Program for Agriculture before Friday, September 29th, 2023.

Other state-specific relief and reporting information can be found here:

Want to support our farmers during these challenging times?

For farmers in Berkshire, Columbia, Dutchess, and Litchfield counties, if your farm needs additional relief during this time:

  • BAV can provide help through our Resilience Fund

  • We can help with zero-interest or low-cost bridge loans while waiting for state and federal assistance to be funded.

To begin a conversation about financial assistance from BAV, please reach out by phone or through our inquiry form.

Additionally, BAV’s Climate Smart Agricultural Program offers tools, services, and guidance on how to bolster your farm’s resilience against the impacts of climate change.

We are always here for our farming community, as a resource and helping hand.
